Samsung D series phones are sleek and stylish world phones that have emerged as a hugely popular line for Samsung Mobile. Phones in this series boast a great user interface and most come with a decent camera, speakerphone, bluetooth, and MicroSD card slots.
This article details the unlock code input procedure for Samsung D-807 and some other models in the same series.
In this article I will detail the unlock code input instructions for Samsung D807, D407, D357, and D606 phones. The instructions below apply to each one of the phones listed above.
Please read the following instructions carefully before you input the codes since after 3 incorrect code input tries, the codes provided to you may not work and your phone could get hard locked.
There are two types of unlock codes available for the Samsung D series. In one type, you get only one set of digits to enter, that’s unlocking the phone by IMEI, and then in the second method, you are given two different sets of digits which you enter separately during the unlock code input process. In this case you DO NOT need the IMEI of the phone at any stage.
This article details unlocking steps for Samsung D-807 without use of the IMEI unlock code.
I am assuming that you already have the codes available. To input the codes, the first step is to insert a non-accepted SIM card. A non-accepted SIM card in this case is a SIM card that did not originally come with the phone. It can also be a SIM card which is from a network other than what you phone is currently locked to.
After inserting the ‘incorrect’ SIM and powering up the phone, your phone should display a message ‘Wrong Card’, ‘Incorrect SIM’. At this point, go ahead and input the first set of codes provided. At the next screen press exit. On the menu screen, select #7 or Malloc Fail. This will force the phone to reboot. After phone reboots, type *0141# and hit the call button. The phone will now display ‘Personalized’.
Turn off the phone and insert a different SIM card, or even the SIM card the phone originally came with. Turn the phone on again. The screen will then prompt you to enter the password. This is where you enter the second set of digits provided by your unlock service provider.
After the second set of digits are entered, the phone will then display ‘Network Lock Deactivated’.
Your phone is now unlocked.
I found that http://UnlockAcell.com provides reliable phone unlocking services at great prices. I also found that spending a few $$ to unlock your phone goes a long way in not only adding resale value to your phone but provides the added convenience and savings of being able to use SIMs from local networks no matter where you travel.
