What causes Acne?

Acne Causes #1: Hormones.

For the majority of acne sufferers, the trouble begins at puberty.

When the body begins to produce hormones called androgen. These hormones, androgen cause the sebaceous glands to enlarge, which is a natural part of the body development and stimulate actively.
Usually depend on individual and may vary in one or anyone but sometimes acne flare-up due to androgen actively overstimulate the sebaceous glands. In some cases lasted into adulthood. Acne flare-ups may also affect some female associated with the menstrual cycle and or when pregnancy.

Acne Causes #2: Extra sebum.

When the sebaceous gland is stimulated by androgen, it produces extra sebum.
As the sebaceous gland and hair follicle are sharing in the same pore, the sebum journey up the follicle toward the surface, the sebum mixes with the skin common skin bacteria and the skin dead cells that have been shed from the lining of the follicle. While this process is normal, the presence of extra secretion of sebum in the follicle increases the chances of clogging and forming plug - and can causes Acne.

Acne Causes #3: Follicle fallout.

Normally, dead cells within the follicle shed gradually and are expelled onto the skin’s surface. But the overactive sebaceous glands - and in nearly everyone during puberty - these cells are shed more rapidly. Mixed with a increasingly amount of sebum, the dead skin cells form a plug in the follicle, preventing the skin from finishing its natural process of renewal known to be desquamation.

Acne Causes #4: Bacteria.

The bacterium Propionibacterium acne, (P. acne for short) is a regular resident of all skin types; it’s part of the skin’s natural sebum maintenance system. Once a follicle is plugged, the P. acne bacteria multiply rapidly, creating the chemical reaction we know as inflammation in the follicle and surrounding skin. As we all know that bacteria multiply in second and at the same times the androgen overstimulating the sebaceous gland increasing the production of sebum causing the seriousness of acne.

Acne Causes #5: Inflammation.

When your body encounters unwanted bacteria, it sends an army of white blood cells to attack the intruders. This process is called “chemotaxis”; or, to simplify - the inflammatory response. This is what causes pimples to become red, swollen and painful. The inflammatory response is different for everyone, but studies have shown that it is especially strong in adult women and as for “Nodulocytic” acne (severe form of acne normally affects males.

It is crucial to begin treatment as soon as the first signs appear and symptoms indicate. As acne conditions appear differently and individually, the sooner you address your acne problem, the lesser damages to the skin.

Acne normally unable to cure but it is treatable by controlling and taken prevention measure. Acne treatments usually need controlling treatments and is extremely easy to control when early acne appear and home care treatments can be very effective as relapse can occur fast and frequently. Treatments for teenage acne is extremely important due to the adolescent period is a time when individual are struggling to develop. Preventing to get it worsen is very important…

Learning to treat acne is not a difficult task and all you need to do is nurture good habits and manage acne. Most importantly must understand and gain knowledge and not having misconceptions and must have the awareness before starting anything.
