I’ve always thought that cleaning is a great way for me to clear my mind. I just relax and get right into the task. For me, it’s a type of meditation; I simply stop thinking and focus into the here and now. Not only is it a great way for me to spend some time in the moment by myself, but I also get the reward of having a sparkling clean house at the end of it.

I’ve always enjoyed exercising. Whether I’m dancing, walking, doing yoga, or aerobics, I find activity to be a great stress reliever. This is why I love cleaning the house; it provides a great workout. Even if I don’t clean the entire house, on days when I’ve already exercised or find that I’m worn out, I’ll just spot clean (which requires very little energy). Wiping a counter space, or sweeping a dirty area of the floor can make a huge difference to how clean your house looks and feels.

Spot cleaning can help you put off your actual full-out cleaning for quite awhile. It doesn’t take much to make a bed after getting up in the morning or washing a few dishes after a meal. Just a small task like picking up an item or two that are lying around on the floor can really change the whole living space. For me, I find that it’s these small tasks that ultimately help me avoid a cluttered and chaotic household, as well as a cluttered and chaotic frame of mind.

In all honesty, I just find myself more comfortable when my environment is fairly mess free. Now that I have a newborn child in my life, I know that I am not going to have all the time in the world for cleaning. However, I learn tricks where and when I can. This is where the World Wide Web comes in handy; having information at my fingertips whenever I need it has really given me a lot of ideas.

I like to take helpful advice wherever I can, and hopefully I have provided you with some useful information as well. There are lots of household cleaning techniques and tips out there and these are a few that I have found particularly useful. Happy Cleaning!
