Washing soiled items is not enough to remove pet stains. Make sure to remove these stubborn odor…
You will surely love to have your Labrador Retriever in the house, napping in your comfortable living room couch or enjoying with you your favorite television show. But remember that, part of your pet’s freedom to explore the house is the possibility of discovering urine stains in the carpet, couch, bed, furniture or any other items.
Though you have spent so much time, effort and money in potty training your Labrador Retriever, there will still be times when your pet will accidentally urinate in wrong places. Now that your four-legged friend decided to mark his territory in your most favorite carpet, you have no other option but to clean his mess at once if you do not want him to do it again and again.
Lucky for you if you discover new stains that are still wet. New stains are easier to remove. Blot the area as much as possible using newspaper, paper towels, dry cloth or any product with absorbent granules. These granules can be applied right to the area where your Labrador Retriever urinated. The stain needs to be dried as much as possible so that it will be easier to remove the odor. Once the area is soaked up, spray or pour cleaning formula specifically made for pet stains. These cleaning formulas contain live bacteria and enzymes effective in removing pet stain odor.
Pet odor can also be removed from carpet with the use of baking soda and vinegar. After drying the urine completely, dampen the area with clean water and sprinkle baking soda over it. Allow the baking soda to dry for several hours, or even overnight then vacuum the area the next day.
Sometimes, stains are discovered when they have already dried. As much as possible, remove all traces of heavy stains in the carpet. Use cleaning formula with more aggressive bacteria and enzymes. There are some with no visible stains in the carpet but the smell is definitely there. Find this soiled area using your nose. Use a black light to find even old urine stains. Close the blinds, windows and turn off all the lights in the room. Pet urine stains glow under the black light. Outline the area with chalk and then take out your cleaning prowess to remove them.
Whether your pet is a Labrador Retriever or a Shih Tzu , pet urine has extremely powerful odor and leaves visible spots on the carpet. You must do something to remove that.
