A Scoring Spree

No comment - Post a comment

Last year, we saw one of the best scoring seasons of all time. It was the first time three players have averaged over 30 points for the season. Lebron James, Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant each averaged over 30 with Kobe averaging 35 points! When we talk about a scoring champion, that average is usually near the upper 20’s and sometimes 30. 30 points is a lot even for Michael Jordan, who is a pure scorer. What makes it even harder to believe is that all of these players did it while doing much more for the team. Lebron James was able to average almost 7 assists and rebounds, and Allen Iverson helped distribute the ball. Was there ever real competition for the scoring title?
