How to Keep Your Heart Healthy
Heart disease does not have to be part of the aging process and can be effectively avoided by means of natural medicine and preventative measures.
It is of great consequence to have a healthy, well-balanced diet to appropriately feed your heart. A well-balanced diet must include the following:
- Plenty of raw fruits and vegetables.
- Low fat proteins, for example chicken or turkey without skin and broiled fish.
- Food rich in essential fatty acids (salmon, tuna, mackerel, trout and herring).
- A reduction in the consumption of alcohol, refined sugars, red meats, butter, soft drinks, fried foods and refined grain products.
- A reduction in the consumption of sodium (baking soda, table salt, MSG, tenderizers and preservatives).
- At least eight glasses of water every day.
