Friday nights are the best since your poker buddies are coming over and you are going to finish them off on your poker match. Get that poker table ready. Get the popcorn.  Get some food ready. Ready the beer. Better make your provisions in large quantities as this poker game might stretch onto the next day.

But wait, the poker table can’t be found. Somebody might have borrowed it and not yet returned it? Maybe call up the neighbor and ask him to return the poker table now? Or ask one of your poker buddies to bring his poker table with him? Is there still time left? How about making an improvised poker table with that banquet table folded up in the garage? That is a great idea!

“What’s that father?” a little boy once asked his father. “Can I play with them?”

The father replied, “No, son, it is not a toy! It is money, my boy!” The boy hurried off to play outside, though, wondering why his father considered those colorful chips as money.

Most children in America grew up with different kinds of colored chips. This colored chips represents money in the casinos. For example, a player who wants to play poker has to buy some chips to be used when betting. And because this is the kind of money that is being used during a game in the casino, particularly poker, others eventually call it poker money.

What comes first in your mind when you see posters with dogs gathered around in a table with card in hand or a typical Western scene wherein cowboys smoke while playing cards at a saloon?

These kinds of scenario only points to one classic game of cards, nothing else but the poker game. No game could be visually described as that of a poker game. It is almost everywhere. In the United States, it’s like it is already a part of the American way of living.
